Graphics gods NVIDIA paved the gaming tablet path with their Shield tablet, which went beyond its calling by being a great all-rounder. Next up is the Shield K1 tablet, which has an attractive price tag and similar strong stats.
The 8-inch tablet has a Full HD, 1920 x 1080 pixel display and and runs on a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage (expandable via micro SD).
Both cameras are 5MP and it has front-facing stereo speakers for when headphones get too much or watching videos.
It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop but will be updated to Marshmallow upon release.
While it has an attractive $199 price tag, this is shipping bare bones, with the controller, case, stylus and charger all sold separately.
