The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has clubbed together with its member companies to create a new logo that will easily identify high-bitrate purchases.
The Hi-Res Music logo can be slapped on what they define as:
“lossless audio capable of reproducing the full spectrum of sound from recordings which have been mastered from better-than-CD-quality music sources which represent what the artists, producers and engineers originally intended”.
Visible in the US, Canada and Europe, the logo will join the existing mark made by the Japan Audio Society.
