Huawei quietly took the wraps off the MediaPad M2 tablet with 8” display and metal body in France. The slate made an appearance in a pop-up Huawei boutique in central Paris.
The Huawei MediaPad M2 packs 64-bit Kirin 930 chipset with 2GHz octa-core CPU developed in-house, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable memory. The 8” display has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels.
Huawei MediaPad M2 has an 8MP main camera, coupled with 2MP front-facing unit. It boots customized Android Lollipop and has Cat. 4 LTE support.
The tablet is 7.8mm thin and weighs 310 grams. It is powered by a 4,800mAh battery.
The MediaPad M2 is expected to hit the shelves in early June. It is priced at €349.
