OnePlus misses OxygenOS release date, but gives us an update

OnePlus promised the release of its new OxygenOS ROM by today, March 27th. Of course, the day is reaching its end and we have seen no release. This is because OnePlus has actually delayed said software.

The good news is that Oneplus is not staying quiet and decided to stand up to its mistake with an update in the form of a forum post from Helen, Head of Mobile Product at OnePlus. The update pretty much tells us that the delays are due to extra quality control. They want to make sure OxygenOS passes Google certification, but the ROM is said to be fully functional already.

OnePlus is not giving us another release date, but they assure that OxygenOS will be ready and launched “very soon”. Helen goes on to tell us they will also be sharing their progress every single day via updates to the original forum post.

Opinion: Despite all the media disasters OnePlus has gone through, I love the way they handle these types of things. They always try to make things right and confront the problem head on. Cheers to that!
