Sony Xperia Z2 survives 6 week under water
Sony is always the most boastful about their water-resistant devices. At events, they often display their devices being submerged in water with no troubles to be found. The following story may be the one that truly proves how rugged and resistant Xperia devices really are.
Multiple Swedish websites are reporting on an Xperia Z2 device that survived a 6-week water dunk under under 10 meters of unadulterated H20. The device was dropped by a water-skier, who realized he could no longer recover his device after dropping it on a 10-meter-deep part of the sea.
To their surprise, the device was then discovered by one of his friends, who happened to be scuba diving in the area. The device was wet (duh!) and cracked, but it was surprising to see that it was able to charge, and was working flawlessly afterwards.
Opinion: So much for Sony’s 1.5 meters for 30 minutes statement. It seems they are underestimating themselves!
