India is one of the fastest growing technology markets. No wonder that Xiaomi is investing a lot of time and energy into the expansion into this country. One Indian magazine called digit.in now did an in-depth interview with Hugo Barra who is responsible for Xiaomi’s expansion into foreign markets.
The former Vice President of Google Android told a lot of stuff in the interview, some of which we already know about. But he also covered some new topics like support for the upcoming Android L. Barra said that Xiaomi certainly has plans to bring the next Android version to current devices, for this however the sources have to be available. As this currently isn’t the case and no one knows when it will happen, he couldn’t make any statements regarding a release date. He promised however, that Xiaomi will hurry up as soon as Android L is seeing a release.
