LibreOffice expanding to mobile

LibreOffice expanding to mobile

The mobile market is all about openness, and there is no office suite more open than LibreOffice. The Document Foundation is finally blessing us with an announcement that will spark quite a commotion among fans. LibreOffice is finally venturing into the mobile market.
It seems the first platform to get some love will be Android, as 90% of the current codebase already compiles for Google’s platform. We can argue we have many free office suite options, but this will bring one main benefit. It will support ODF (Open Document Format), which is not readily available from all current applications.
Opinion: LibreOffice has been a life saver for many of us, so we can assume this will be a successful project. They have a strong follower base.
