Swing Copters update makes the game less impossible

It wasn’t that long ago that Dong Nguyen removed Flappy Bird from Google Play and other app stores, claiming that the game was just too addictive and had put too much strain on his life. Part of the addictive nature of Flappy Bird had to do with just how challenging it was, and yet Nguyen’s recently released Swing Copters takes the same formula, makes a few tweaks and turns the difficulty up several notches.

Though perhaps he took it a bit too far, as building up enough skill to get even a single point in the game has become a 10-minute affair. If you’ve found Dong Nguyen’s latest game a bit too challenging, you’ll be happy to know that he’s scaling things back in a brand new update to version 1.1.

The new update fine tunes the gameplay, basically making it easier to predict your characters movement. Now, that doesn’t mean the game is now easy. Far from it. In many ways the game is just as frustrating as ever, other than you can now do at least a little better than just scoring one point (I reached 3 points..).

In addition to fixing the controls so the game isn’t so impossible, Swing Copter’s latest update also includes some unspecified bug fixes. Bottom-line, if you found the game a bit too hard the first time around, you might want to try it again. Or not, it’s up to you. To grab the update you’ll want to head on over to Google Play.
