Sharp Aquos Mini launched in Japan

Sharp which is known for its sleek bezel less phones has released the Aquos Mini smartphone with a sleek 4.7 inch display and a lightweight body in Japan. The compact device was launched by pre-paid local carrier Rakuten Mobile in Japan and would cost about $20 per month stretched over a 2 year period or you can buy the phone outright for $435.

The Sharp Aquos Mini has a 4.7-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution display. It has sleek dimensions of 4.96 x 2.59 x 0.35 inches and weighs just 120 grams. The phones display is over 73% of the surface area of the phone, which is higher than the iPhone 6s which has 65% display area. The small device comes with a dust-tight and water-resistant (IP68 certification).

The Aquos mini SH-03H is powered by a hexa-core Qualcom Snapdragon 808 processor with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card slot. The smartphone has a 13.1MP rear camera with f/1.9 lens, LED flash and is capable of slow motion video up to 2,100fps. It has a wide-angled 5MP front camera for clicking selfies. The smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow OS, and is backed by a 2,810 mAh battery. With these specifications and design the Sharp Aquos Mini SH-P3H is a virtual powerhouse, but it is unlikely that it will ever be launched outside Japan.
