Elephone is planning to launch new smartphone soon, which will be officially called as Elephone M2. The new smartphone will belong to the combination of a mid and high-end segment. Here are the key details exclusively for our readers.
The smartphone will offer highly rigid brushed aluminium unibody design with somewhat thin 7.35mm profile. The device closely resembles with Huawei P8 in design segment, and MediaTek MT6753 Octa-core chip will drive the machine under the hood. Elephone M2 will be coming with Finger Print sensor that integrated into the rectangular home button, which might be touch based not the outdated swipe-based one. The smartphone will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 3GB RAM, 16GB ROM with microSD card slot. The camera segment has got significant improvements by introducing the 13MP Sony IMX214 rear shooter and 5MP front shooter.
As you guys can see in the pictures below, the Elephone M2 has a power button and a Volume rocker switches to the right of the smartphone, and the SIM tray (Micro) at the left of the device. The speaker grills are located at the bottom of the micro USB port for charging and data Sync that means the forthcoming Elephone device is not coming with latest USB Type-C. On the top, it will house a 3.5mm jack and noise cancellation microphone. Connectivity front expected to feature 4G LTE, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and OTG support.
We are expecting the device to run on at least Android 5.0 Lollipop, but it will be highly skinned to add proprietary features by Elephone. The device will have thinner bezels to accommodate the bigger screen into a compact format, and a 2500mAh battery might power it.
The Elephone M2 will be available in two color options – Black and Gold. Unfortunately, there is no information on exact release date and pricing details. Stay tuned to us for more information soon.
