The Gionee Elife E7 is the Chinese manufacturer's 2014 flagship model. Even though it’s made of plastic, the Gionee Elife E7 looks quite sturdy, and looks don't lie - it's solid and well put together. It's also quite slim and portable for a big-screen phone. Besides,the Gionee Elife E7 is touted as a camera-centric device,it's also a good looking Smartphone.

Box & Accessories 

Outside of the black phone box,there is a thin transparent film. After removing this film and opening this black box,we can see the phone on the top layer,the second layer is a black protective case,all other accessories are on the bottom of this box.



At the back of the box,there is information about the SAR: 1.43w/kg @ 1g(head) and 0.889w/kg @ 1g (body). The protective case fits the phone well.



Besides the simple user manual and warranty card,there is a Gionee India Customer Service Center List,and one card on behalf of Gionee wrote that when you take this phone in hand, we hope you are happy with it. Gionee Smartphone is exclusively designed for different using experience. No matter you find it shinning in design, or with a surprisingly good screen, or insanely fast CPU, or latest featured Android OS version, don’t be surprised. Appearance and Design

It measures in at just 5.93 x 2.95 x 0.37 inches (150.6*75*9.5 mm), which gives it a screen-to-body ratio of almost 74%-that's less bezel than the vast majority of devices currently on the market. It's unbelievable how insane this new Chinese phones are. It's comfortable to hold it at your hand. The pity is the battery of E7 mobile phone is fixed, not removable. 

 

We can find the power key and earphone jack at the top of the phone,volume +/- key is at the right side,sim card slots is at the left side,stick the ejection pin into the pin hold,the micro sim box will be out of the card slot. A Gionee logo at the back of the phone,the golden "DH" logo is from pandawill and means pandawill. USB port and speaker on the bottom of the phone.

  

Screen

The phone's screen measures a cozy 5.5 inches in diagonal,and has a 1080p resolution.Notably,the bezels around it are only 0.09 inches (2.33mm) thick. Menu and Icons

There are three virtual buttons,home screen is your starting point to access all the features on the phone. It also displays the recent apps,and slide to up can delete recent apps. At the top of the screen,the status bar have double option:notification page to display the time information about the status of the phone and icons for the notification that you've received,second page is to directly enter the settings.

  

First page,we can see the time,date,then slide to right,second page displayed,you can take a photo,make a fakecall,turn on the torch and REC. THe purple icon is DU speed booster,you can click it to do trash cleaner,accelerator,speed test,battery saver,etc.

   

We can find notes,torch,clock,FM,sound record,compass,etc in the Tool icons. About the weather,you can choose the city or input your location,according to current weather show sound effects. Charmcamera,there are PPT,Tracks,Face beauty,Make-up,etc. You can set wallpaper,theme and effect in the Color. About the amigo paper,we can view more wallpapers after connecting network. When you get the phone,you will find more surprise than I mentioned.

 
 

Camera & Music & GPS

Beside the Charmcamera,there is another camera icon. The main camera has a 16MP resolution with auto-focus and single LED flash. The actual pixel size is quite large, so the camera should be a good performer. The front facing camera is 8MP, which is outstanding for a Smartphone. Let's view two photos. Just simple to use the camera to take two photos,without any effects.Sound quality is well and you can have a look about the interface.

   

Connecting WiFi and do a simple test about the GPS,speed is also well,open bluetooth and run it for a while,no bugs found,everything works.



OS & & CPU & Antutu Score & About the phone

It runs on a customized version of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, called Amigo 2.0 OS. Inside this phone, you will find a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chip running at 2.5 GHz. It's the same chip that comes in the new Galaxy S5. It's paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage. Let's view the antutu test details.

Conclusion

No bugs found,everything works well,high-resolution display, high-resolution camera, enough storage. For few users,lacks microSD slot for large storage expansion and battery is not replaceable that may the cons to them.
