Google is all set of unveil the first Android One smartphones on September 15 at a press event in New Delhi. One of these Android One smartphones is coming from Spice, which was revealed to be among the first Android One partners at the Google I/O event in June.
Today, we have the exclusive details of the Spice’s first Android One smartphone. According to sources close with the matter, the smartphone will be priced at INR 6,999 in the country and sport a 4.5-inch FWVGA display.
Among other specifications, the phone will be powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and feature 1700 mAh battery, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. On the imaging front, the smartphone will pack a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, and 2MP front camera, revealed the sources.
In addition, the phone will run on Android 4.4.4 and support dual-SIM card support.
The final branding of the phone is unclear at this moment but will be different than the Stellar or Flo sub-brands being used by the company for rest of its smartphone line-up in the country.
The phone is already being teased by Spice on its social media channels and in these teasers, the company clearly states that the phone will be exclusive to Flipkart.com.
