Lenovo on Wednesday introduced three new ThinkCentre desktop PCs aimed at business users, including the currently available ThinkCentre M79 starting at $449 and the ThinkCentre E63z starting at $479.
The new security-fortified M-Series and E-Series desktops "focus on manageability and reliability without breaking the bank," the computer maker said.
In addition to the M79 and E63z, the ThinkCentre M53, a "tiny" form factor desktop like Lenovo's established ThinkCentre M73 and M93p products, will be made available "shortly" starting at $439, the company said.
"Businesses of all sizes need flexible, dependable and secure PCs to meet the day-to-day rigors of workplace collaboration," Ouyang Jun, vice president and general manager of Lenovo's Desktop and Visuals business, said in a statement. "Our new affordable ThinkCentre desktops offer different form factors and configurations allowing maximum flexibility and end user productivity in an easily managed and secure environment."
All of the new ThinkCentre desktops Designed feature Lenovo's Smart USB Protection, allowing businesses to control access to USB ports, the company said. The new units also have Solid State Hybrid Drive (SSHD) support and meet industry energy use standards with solid Energy Star 6.0 and EPEAT ratings.
