The company issued a statement saying, “We are delighted to announce, that keeping true to our promise of bringing the very best of Android experience to all Gionee smartphones, we have released an OTA update to bring the Gionee Pioneer P4 up to the paces with the latest and greatest in the Android world with Android 4.4 KitKat.” This Android update will not only make platform specific enhancements but the general performance of the phone will also be improved and a host of new features will be added.
The main highlights of this update include new home-screen layout, added touchpad inputs, Amigo paper comes with a new UI design, Game Zone also comes with a new UI design, Gionee Xender will offer optimised performance, UC browser will get optimised UI interface, NQ mobile security provides better protection, WeChat will have new interactive interface, two games will be added and so on.
